LAFAYETTE, La. (KADN) — We've now learned the identity of the Lafayette police officer killed in the line of duty. He's Cpl. Segus Jolivette and he leaves behind a wife and children.
The Opelousas native started his law enforcement career as an officer for the Opelousas Police Department.
He later joined the Lafayette police force and was a member of the LPD SWAT team.
